Becky gave me this 'award' thingy that says you have to write 10 honest things about myself and pass it on. I couldn't get the thing to copy to my blog and it was starting to annoy me so I gave up. But I'll still write 10 things :) (but don't be angry if I don't pass it along)
1. I'm secretly afraid of the dark. If I have to walk around my house in the dark I usually close my eyes. I think it's from all the scary movies I watch and such.
2. I have no idea what I want to do with my life. All I know is that I need a better job and I want to move out.
3. I am boarderline OCD. I freak out (usually on the inside to hide my freakishness) if things don't end in a 0 or a 5. Or if things are odd numbered.
4. I am the only one left in my family not to be married. Somedays I want to get married, but most of the time I am happy just the way I am.
5. I LOVE to travel!!!! I hate living out of my suitcase, but if I could travel for the rest of my life I would be just fine!
6. My favorite artists are Van Gogh, Degas, Renior, and Jackson Pollock.
7. I have a bad habbit of falling for the wrong guys. This is part of the reason I choose to stay single. So much easier!
8. I hate cooking. I am starting to learn a little, but I still don't like doing it!
9. If you haven't already guessed, I have an obsession with the Eiffel Tower! In my collection I have over 20 items. I've been to Paris 3 times and still would love to go back again. My favorite thing to do there is watch the sun set at the Tower.
10. I've never ridden a horse before, but I have ridden a camel. I am a true blue city girl all the way thru!
Not a lot has happened in my life. I stay busy with work. A few weekends ago I went to the Kate Voegele concert with my friend Carli. If you don't know who she is, she is a singer and she is often on One Tree Hill. While we were standing in line, her tour manager Cash came out and asked if anyone would do him a favor and give him a ride to go and pick her up. I was lucky enough to be standing in the front of the line and he picked me. So I drove him to her hotel and gave her a ride back to the concert. She is way nice and we had a nice little conversation on the way there. The concert was way good too.

I know! I suck at updating my blog. It's been almost a year since I last posted, so I figure it's about time. Because a lot happens in a year, I'll give you guys the Readers Digest version of the last year.
After quiting Verizon I went vacation crazy. In June I drove down to Cedar City and met up with my friend Allison. She graduated from SUU this year and wanted to do something fun. We then drove to Vegas and stayed the night at her cousin's house. The next day her cousin drove us to the airport and we flew to London. When we got there we met up with our tour group. (If anyone is looking for a good tour group, I highly reccommend Contiki). This was my second time in London but it had been 8 years since I had been so it was pretty much like new to me. Our hotel was within walking distance from Covent Gardens, the British Museum, and the Undergroung. One of the days we went to Stonehenge and to the city of Bath. I had never been to either one of those places so it was pretty cool to see. Also while we were in London we got to see Wicked. I got to see Wicked in NYC while I was there and I had also seen it while it was here in Utah. Still an amazing musical, but 3 times in 1 year is a lot! After London we drove down to Dover, hopped on the ferry and went to France. We spent the rest of our trip there. I was just there in 2007 but still loved every minute of it! I called it my trip of 3's. It was the third time for a lot of things for me. My favorite part still is watching the sun set at the Eiffel Tower. It was cool to take Allison to do that for the first time too. I want to go back again already to Paris! Over all I had such a good time and I would do it again in a heart beat!
The Eiffel Tower at sunset. What could be better than watching the Tower light up and sparkle?
Jordan and I in Siwa.
This is me on our way to the Pyramids. Our driver told us that everyone needs a picture of themself touching the Pyramid.
I quit Verizon in May because I HATED that job (the company itself is great, I'm just not a call center person). I am now just working for The Children's Place. I recently got a promotion and am now a Store Lead. Basically that means I'm a manager, but I get paid less and I don't get 40 hours a week. I'm still looking for something, but haven't found what that something is just yet.

Stonehenge!
Me at the Roman Bath in the city of Bath.
I came home from there for about a week and a half. In May my good friend Jordan moved to Egypt to study Arabic and work. She invited me to fly out and spend some time with her after school was over. I got on a plane and flew alone for the first time in my life. It wasn't as scary as I thought it would be but it was VERY boring. My 5 hour layover turned into about an 8 hour layover. On the way home I had a layover that was almost 10 hours long. Far too long to be alone in an airport! Egypt was pretty cool. I don't think I would ever go back, but I'm glad I had the chance and got to have that experience. I spent most of my time in Alexandria (which is on the coast of the Mederteranian Sea). I spend a night out in the desert of Siwa. It is about 6 hours southwest of Alexandria and in the Lybian Desert. That by far was my favorite part of the whole trip. We went on a desert safari (which was us in an SUV driving thru the sand dunes). We got to swim in a natural cold spring, went sandboarding, and spent the night with the Burburs. They cooked us dinner and breakfast. The food was interesting. I even tried camel cheese. I promise, it's not as bad as it sounds! I spent a few days in Luxor visiting the temples and the tombs. Those were pretty interesting to see. I got to go inside King Tut's Tomb and see his mummy. It was deathly hot there! It was 120 degrees plus humidity! I don't know how Egyptians make it! In Cairo we rented Camels and rode them to the pyramids/sphynx. I've never rode a horse before so a camel was a big jump. I was scared that I would fall off or that he would bite me, but by the end it was well worth the ride!

Now that I'm home and vacationed out, I've been busy working to pay bills and re-save my money for next year's trip. I don't have an exact trip yet, but I have a few ideas!
Last weekend was my birthday. I went to Las Vegas with Sharla, Jason, Cory, and Natalee. I had so much fun. Sharla, Jason, and I went down Thursday when I got off of work. That night we just chilled at the hotel and relaxed. Friday Cory and Nat drove down. We then went to lunch at the Ellis Island casino. They have a special for $6.99. You get a steak, potatoes, veggies, salad, and a drink. It was really good! After that we went to the strip and played. We went shopping (I got a new ring at Tiffany's), gambled, and just played. That night we went to a show. We saw the Mentalist. It was pretty entertaining, but I always question their credibility. The next day we hung out by the pool and went back to the strip that night. My friend Mike from Cedar came down that night and hung out with is. We mostly just walked the strip and played Pai Gow Poker. I lost all my money at that game, but everyone else won! I had such a great birthday weekend!
My family has grown a bit this last year too. Cory and Natalee got married in June. I love Natalee! Her and Cory go so well together! Chris and Jodi had a baby in May. His name is Caden and he is such a cute baby. I'm still single and loving it! Most of my friends are now married and starting to have babies. Sometimes it makes me sad, but then I remember that I get to travel and they don't. Then I'm happy again!! :)
